Fender USA Vintage Stratocaster
Fender Stratocaster S.N. 717281
From 1975/6, one of the last to have its serial number on the neck plate. The guru's tell me the neck date is the 4th day (Thursday) of the 8th week of 1976. Owned by me for many years, rarely ever played. In superb original condition. Comes with an original late 70's style ABS case. As far as I can tell all parts are original including the three way switch. The tremolo arm not shown, is not original, it was missing when I bought the guitar.
A rare opportunity to acquire a superb unmolested classic vintage guitar.

LAB SERIES L3
Nice quality and rare solid state combo, manufactured in the USA by Norlin Industries in conjunction with Gibson and Moog during the late 1970's and early 1980's. Delivering 60 watts through a 12 inch eminence speaker, it was the smallest amplifier of the Labseries range. The larger 2 X 12 Labseries L5 you may know was used for many years by the great blues man B B King.
Though this is the smallest amp in the Lab
Series range it packs a mighty musical punch, It is light weight, powerful,
portable very well built and well ahead of its time, which makes for an
attractive and collectable amplifier. This one is in tidy condition fully
serviced and working as it should be.
A rare find on offer here at just

Fender
Bassman 50 Watt head
Vintage valve amplifier dating from around 1969 - 1970 Silverfaced Bassman - Amp
has a few minor scuffs but is in otherwise good condition. Fully serviced news power valve sockets fitted ready to go. One of the best sounding guitar amplifiers ever made and at 50 watts its loud enough to find that lovely sweet point without blasting the windows out. Simple 2 channel amp, Bass & Normal, 2 High & Low inputs, 1 Volume, Treble, and Bass control per channel. What more do you need ? The more knobs you have to fiddle with the more difficult to is to set up a decent consistent tone.
Great vintage all valve guitar amp with a very affordable price tag. Not bad for Bass work either : )

Fender The Twin
Nice condition fully serviced ready to go. Known as the red knobbed Twin (no not my brother) this amp has twin footswitch able channels, for clean and overdriven settings. A nice sounding reverb, 2 X 12" Eminence speakers. There is a power reduction switch which reduces the output power from 100 watts to 25 watts. This it does by shutting off a pair of power valves and reducing the plate, screen and bias voltages to the other pair. And yes it does work but the amp is still pretty loud. The reverb can be assigned to either or both channels as required. Comes with it's original 3 button foot switch for Reverb on / off, Channel Select, and Boost
This is amplifier far better built than many others of the same type I have seen. There is a slight snag in the grill cloth, barely visible in the photograph. It dates from around 1992, it's a very nice amp for the money.

Watkins Copicat Mk 2 1963/4 Guild version

Here we have in incredible condition a Guild version of the Copicat, made in England by Watkins of London probably in 1962. Made for the US market it is for use on a 110 volts power supply. A step down transformer will be required for use in the UK and Europe. These are available from Maplin's or CPC for about £20, or I can supply one at extra cost with the Copicat if required. Apart from the all blue livery and the Guild logo, the Copicat is in every other respect identical to those sold at the same time in the UK and the rest of the world. I estimate that this machine has had less than 10 hours total use in it's entire life, possibly even less than 6. There is no visible wear on the heads, which are the original and highly favoured Marriott heads. Unfortunately and with most old Copicat's I had to replace a few capacitors to get it working properly. These were the old hard wax Hunts caps, the wax tends to shrink and crack with age and they then absorb moisture from the air which causes them to leak DC voltage to the point where the machine no longer works properly, if at all. The guild is otherwise original and fully worknig.
There is some slight staining to the case edges and corners which may possibly clean off with warm soapy water, but I'm not brave enough to try it. One other rather annoying defect, is that its previous owner carefully, but none the less scratched his phone number in the faceplate, which can bee seen in the second picture. Other than that there is barely a mark on it.
Charlie told me it was the initial order of 1,000 units of this very model which provided the funds to enable him to open his first proper factory at Offley Road. So it really is a piece of history in the making, complete with its original paperwork. Due to its rarity and amazing condition of this machine, I am offering it for sale as a highly collectable piece of Watkins history for just

Future Copicat Sales
I have a few Copicat's to be serviced or overhauled, which when ready will be offered for sale. I do not sell cheap Copicat's, they would be no good to you, or for my reputation. If you buy a Copicat from me, you can rest assured it will be as good as they come. Most of what I get offered are not good enough to sell on to you.
I rarely list them on the website as most are already allocated to a buyer before they are ready. If you would like to reserve one for your self ring or email me with your details, and I will include you on my Cat wanted list, and will reserve one in your name. You will be under no obligation to buy, and no deposit will be required, you are just reserving your place in the queue. If when I contact you with a machine for sale, you then change your mind or prefer a different model, that's not a problem. Everybody just moves up a space and it will be offered to the next interested party. If I do get any and there is no one in the queue, I will then list it here for sale. All my Copicat's, are sold with a full Amp-Fix 12 months Guarantee.
